How to Replace Annovi Reverberi Pressure Washer Pump Head [Photos]
Sure, sometimes you must humbly admit that a DIY repair job is beyond your abilities and outsource it to someone else. But not always. Replacing the head of your pressure washer pump, for example, is a job you can do yourself—in only eight steps, in fact.
Follow along to learn how to replace your pump head, and don’t forget to check the pictures at the bottom of the page for additional guidance if you get confused on one of the steps.
If you choose to make this repair with the pump still attached to your pressure washer, make sure that if you are laying your pressure washer down, the engine is situated so that oil cannot leak into your pistons or carburetor.

STEP 2: Use the Allen wrench to loosen the bolts on top of the pump.
STEP 3: Separate the head from the rest of the pump by gently moving it side to side until it comes loose.
STEP 4: Take all of the bushings and water seals out of the pistons. If they are still in good condition, you can recycle the bushings and use them on your new head. However, you can also order new bushings for your pressure washer pump. The pump head comes with new water seals, but we also sell new water seals for your pressure washer pump head if you need them.
STEP 5: Place the bushings into the new head with the grooves facing outwards. If you install them the wrong way, you could harm your seals.
STEP 6: Set your new head onto your washer’s pistons so that it is securely on the pump.
STEP 7: Put Loctite on your bolts so that they won’t be jarred loose while your pressure washer is operating. The type of Loctite (red or blue) you’ll want to use depends on whether you think you’ll need to remove the bolts later on.
STEP 8: Tighten your bolts by hand. After that, use the Allen wrench to tighten them to 221” lbs. of torque. However, be sure not to tighten them too much; if you do, you could break the heads off or strip the aluminum threads in the pump wall.
Once you are finished replacing your pump head, test out your washer. Make sure you only do so while water is running through the system.
